Mo Salah Opens Up About Liverpool Future and Dreams for Egypt
Mohamed Salah, Liverpool’s talisman, addressed speculation about his future with the club and dismissed the idea of a return to play in the Egyptian Premier League.
Speaking in a fan Q&A session, Salah, whose contract with Liverpool runs until the summer of 2025, said: “Honestly, I don’t know what will happen. My contract ends this season, and I’ll consider available offers, but I haven’t decided anything yet.”
Despite Salah's recent criticism of the club's tardiness in resolving the issue, reports indicate that talks between Liverpool and his agent, Ramy Abbas, are going well.
On the possibility of returning to play in Egypt, Salah was definitive: “I don’t think I’ll play in Egypt again. I see myself retiring from football outside of Egypt.”
Reflecting on his international career, Salah expressed a lingering aspiration: “I dream of winning a trophy with the Egyptian national team.”
He also named Manchester City as the toughest club opponent he’s faced and picked Eden Hazard as his most challenging individual rival, excluding Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
