A major scandal has erupted in MLB, where the new season kicked off late last month.
Details: The Atlanta Braves will have to manage without their star outfielder Jurickson Profar for a significant period.
Profar has been officially suspended for 80 games for doping. The 32-year-old athlete tested positive for human chorionic gonadotropin.
The baseball player denies his guilt and intends to appeal the decision. However, his chances of winning this battle are very slim.
Profar's suspension takes effect immediately, meaning he will miss today's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Reminder: It was previously reported that the son of tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf became a player for Germany's national baseball team.
