The future of German striker Niclas Füllkrug in Italy’s Serie A is all but decided.

Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Milan does not plan to activate the €5 million buyout clause for the player at the end of the current season.

Despite the hopes pinned on the experienced forward, the Rossoneri management has decided to let Füllkrug go this June, shifting their focus toward younger and more promising candidates to bolster their attack.

Under the current agreement, Füllkrug will officially return to London’s West Ham this summer. However, the 33-year-old striker doesn’t plan to stay in the Premier League. The Hammers also have no long-term plans for the German and intend to place him on the transfer market immediately.

It’s worth noting that Füllkrug made 25 appearances for Milan, scoring just one goal.

Recall: Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leão could leave Milan this summer.
