According to Corriere dello Sport, several strikers have landed on the Italian giant’s shortlist: Barcelona’s Robert Lewandowski, Fiorentina’s Moise Kean, Nicolás Jackson (currently on loan at Bayern), as well as Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui and Darwin Núñez from Al Hilal.
The most likely options appear to be Moise Kean and Mateo Retegui: both players have long experience in Italian football, are well adapted to the league’s demands, and are reportedly open to joining Milan.
In the 2025/26 season, Pulisic and Leão combined for 20 goals and five assists—a tally that will be tough to match. The American’s contract runs until 2027, while the Portuguese star is tied to the club until 2028.
