Milan has decided to dismiss Pioli Milan has decided to dismiss Pioli

The Milan leadership has decided to bid farewell to the team's head coach, Stefano Pioli, at the end of the current season. Journalist Sebastiano Sarno reported this development.

It's noted that everyone within the club agrees with this decision. Collaboration with the coach will come to an end in the summer of 2024, even if the red and blacks secure a place in the top 4 and earn the right to play in the Champions League next season (a goal previously declared by Pioli himself).

Milan currently holds the third position in the Serie A table after 16 rounds. The team has 10 wins and 32 points to their credit. In the Champions League, the Rossoneri failed to advance to the Round of 16, finishing third in the group behind Borussia Dortmund, PSG, and Newcastle.

Pioli has been at the helm of Milan since 2019. Under his guidance in the 2021/22 season, the red and blacks became champions of Italy for the first time in 11 years. In the previous season, the team finished fourth in Serie A. The Italian specialist's contract with the club expires in the summer of 2025.

Earlier reports indicated that Milan is facing financial difficulties due to the club needing to repay a significant loan left by the previous owner in the near future.
