Milan and Napoli inquire about Cristante's availability from Roma
Milan and Napoli have reportedly reached out to Roma regarding the availability of midfielder Bryan Cristante, who has fallen out of favor at the club.
Details. According to Calciomercato.com, Cristante is among the players Claudio Ranieri is willing to sacrifice to make room for new acquisitions over the next two transfer windows.
The report highlights that Roma’s sporting director, Florent Ghisolfi, is keen to negotiate with Milan, potentially involving Cristante in a permanent deal for Alexis Saelemaekers. The Belgian winger is currently on loan at Roma from the Rossoneri.
Napoli has also made a preliminary inquiry as they look to strengthen Antonio Conte’s midfield options.
The 29-year-old Cristante is under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until the summer of 2027. He currently earns a substantial salary of around €3 million per season, which is one of the reasons Roma might look to offload him.
Recall. Cristante has been sidelined for the past month due to an ankle injury but is expected to return to action by mid-January.
