Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has included promising Nigerian defender Josh Ogunnaike in first-team training as they prepare for their UEFA Champions League showdown with Sporting CP.
The young full-back caught attention after being seen training alongside senior players at the Sobha Realty Training Center.
Ogunnaike, an attack-minded left-back, joined Arsenal in October 2021 at just 13 years old and has steadily progressed through the youth ranks. His development has been impressive, culminating in his debut for the club’s under-21 side in February 2025.
