Midfielder to Leave Inter Milan This Summer

Inter Milan midfielder Davy Klaassen will depart the club this summer.

According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the possibility of extending Klaassen's contract until June 2025 expired on Friday, May 31. The club chose not to exercise the option to prolong the agreement with the player.

Starting today, the Dutch midfielder is available on the market as a free agent. Several clubs, some from Serie A, have already expressed interest in him.

The Netherlands international midfielder joined Inter in September as a free agent, signing a contract until the end of the season.

In the concluded 2023-24 campaign, the 31-year-old Klaassen played 18 matches for Inter in all competitions, without registering any goals or assists.

Earlier reports indicated that the Milan club was unable to reach an agreement with its main star on a new contract.
