Michael Jordan sells his mansion with a staggering 67% price cut
Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan has finally sold his mansion, 11 years after it was first listed. The sale was officially closed this week, according to Realtor.com.
The property’s price saw a dramatic reduction of 67%—originally listed at $29 million in December 2013, it was sold for just $9.5 million in December 2024.
The luxurious 32,600-square-foot estate had been on and off the market for years, as its hefty price tag deterred buyers.
Located in Highland Park, Illinois, the mansion was built in 1995 and boasts nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, a private basketball court, a swimming pool, a cigar room, a garage for 14 cars, and a library. The entrance gates are adorned with the number 23, the iconic jersey number under which Jordan became an NBA legend.
At 61, Jordan is widely regarded as the greatest basketball player of all time. Among numerous accolades, he is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and six-time NBA champion.
