Michael Carrick has held positive talks with Manchester United
Manchester United have decided to make a change in the head coach position. They have dismissed Rúben Amorim and are now close to appointing a new specialist.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Michael Carrick has held positive talks with INEOS, Manchester United’s ownership group.
The Red Devils are set to announce their new coach later this week, and Carrick is hopeful of being given the role. Ole Gunnar Solskjær is also awaiting the club’s decision.
Notably, following the dismissal of Rúben Amorim, the team was placed under the temporary charge of Darren Fletcher, but the club’s hierarchy are considering appointing a more experienced interim coach for the remainder of the season.
Reminder: Manchester United are considering Thomas Tuchel as one of the leading candidates for the head coach position.
