Aguirre said Mofokeng is Bafana's exciting player
Javier Aguirre has revealed his admiration for Bafana Bafana's Relebohile Mofokeng.
Aguirre's Mexico face Bafana this evening in the World Cup opening game at the iconic Estadio Azteca in what is expected to be a humdinger of a match.
But, ironically, the El Tri coach has disclosed how he admires South African players and made a special mention of Mofokeng.
"South Africa has improved a lot. We drew with them in 2010. Their football has progressed, and I have a lot of respect for Hugo Broos,” said Aguirre.
“They have many players from the same team, so everyone knows each other.
“There are young players; I love Mofokeng, he’ll be going to Europe soon. I love their fans.”
The match starts at 9pm South African time.
