Inter Miami has secured another high-profile transfer. Defensive midfielder Federico Redondo, a member of the Argentine youth national team and Argentinos Juniors, is set to join the MLS club, as reported by Fabrizio Romano.

Inter Miami will pay 8 million euros for the 21-year-old midfielder. Additionally, Argentinos Juniors will receive 15% of any future transfer fee for Redondo.

Inter Miami successfully outbid Bayern Munich, Wolfsburg, and River Plate for Redondo's services. In the previous season, the midfielder participated in 58 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Redondo also boasts 7 appearances for the Argentine U-20 national team and 10 matches for the Argentine U-23 squad.

Federico Redondo is the son of former Real Madrid midfielder Fernando Redondo, who played six years for Real Madrid and spent four years with Milan.

It's worth noting that Inter Miami already features notable players such as Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets.

The new MLS season kicks off on February 22, with Inter Miami facing Real Salt Lake in their opening match on February 22.
