Messi scores again! Argentine reaches 922 career goals. Did Inter Miami win? VIDEO
Lionel Messi keeps pushing his incredible career scoring record even higher.
Details: The Inter Miami captain scored his 922nd career goal in the MLS regular-season clash away to Philadelphia Union. The Argentine struck in the 26th minute, finishing with his left foot to put Miami 2-1 ahead.
Philadelphia opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Indiana Vassilev, but Inter Miami responded quickly. Dániel Pintér equalized in the 21st minute before Messi completed the turnaround just five minutes later. Leo also registered an assist during the match.
However, Miami could not hold on to the lead. Neil Pierre scored for Philadelphia in the 58th minute, making it 2-2, and neither side managed to find a winner after that. Inter Miami therefore had to settle for a point, although the draw did end their three-match losing streak.
Messi's latest strike was his 70th MLS goal and his 13th league goal of the 2026 season. After 17 MLS appearances this campaign, the Argentine also has nine assists and remains firmly involved in the Golden Boot race.
It is worth noting that Messi now has 922 official career goals for club and country, continuing his pursuit of another extraordinary scoring milestone.
Reminder: Urgent! Barcelona close to signing Argentina forward — and it's not Álvarez
