Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has once again publicly expressed his admiration for compatriot and former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Details: In a recent interview on The Wayne Rooney Show, when asked who the greatest footballer in history is, Bruno didn’t hesitate with his answer, naming Cristiano Ronaldo and highlighting the key qualities that, in his opinion, make Ronaldo truly unique.
“The best footballer? I played with him… trained with him… saw his mentality up close. It's Cristiano Ronaldo,” Fernandes stated.
The midfielder emphasized the difference between natural-born talent and greatness forged through relentless hard work:
“Some players are gifted by nature, some are just good… but Cristiano made himself, he turned himself into something more. People will always argue, throwing names like Lionel Messi into the mix, and yes, that’s incredible talent… but for me, greatness is something more than just talent,” the Portuguese midfielder added.
Bruno is convinced that Ronaldo’s secret lies in his mindset:
It’s mentality. It’s obsession. It’s the ability to deliver everywhere and every single time. And in that sense, Cristiano is in a league of his own.
