Messed up. Wayne Rooney will pay a fine for illegal parking
The new Match Of The Day pundit Wayne Rooney has broken parking rules while in the Cheshire suburbs, according to the Daily Mail. Reports reveal that the former footballer pulled up to a local barbershop and left his car in a restricted spot.
Although Rooney parked in the lot, he chose a space specifically designated for people with disabilities. The sign marking the restriction was clearly visible right next to Rooney's car.
Most likely, this violation will land Rooney a £70 fine, which could rise to £105 if not paid within 28 days. Still, given the former footballer’s salary, that sum is unlikely to trouble him.
It’s worth noting that Rooney recently signed a two-year deal with the BBC to serve as a Match Of The Day pundit. Over that period, the ex-footballer will earn a salary of £800,000.
