Mendy has extended his contract with Real Madrid despite the likely arrival of Davies
Rumours that Real Madrid have no intention of backing down on their intentions to sign Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies are in no way frightening the Canadian's rival for the position, Ferland Mendy, and the latter doesn't want to give up for nothing either.
Details: According to Marca, the Frenchman's contract with Real Madrid was due to expire in the summer of 2025, but he has signed a new deal that will run until 30 June 2027. It is believed that the parties held talks over the summer, and to leave Mendy in the team for longer was a personal decision of Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Reminder: There has been much talk recently about Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies ending up at the Santiago Bernabéu sooner or later, but Real have reassured Mendy and given him confidence.
