Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev started the 2024 Paris Olympics with a confident victory.

Medvedev, competing under a neutral status, faced Rinky Hijikata from Australia, who is ranked 76th in the ATP rankings.

The Russian secured a convincing win over his opponent in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1. The favorite needed just 1 hour of playing time to claim victory.
