Djokovic and Alcaraz advanced to the next round of the Olympics without any difficulties


On Saturday, July 27, the first day of tennis at the 2024 Olympic Games took place. Carlos Alcaraz played against Hady Habib, while Djokovic faced Matthew Ebden.
Djokovic - Ebden: 2-0
The match was remarkably swift. Novak claimed the first set 6-0 in just 25 minutes. The second set lasted slightly longer, 29 minutes, and concluded with a 6-1 victory for the Serbian. As a result, Djokovic advanced past Ebden with a score of 2-0 in 54 minutes and will face the winner of the Fucsovics/Nadal match in the next round.
Habib - Alcaraz: 0-2
Like Djokovic, Carlos swiftly dispatched his opponent. Alcaraz started strong and took the first set 6-3. The second set lasted the same amount of time, 36 minutes, but ended even more convincingly at 6-1. In 1 hour and 12 minutes, Alcaraz defeated Habib 2-0. In the next round, the Spaniard will compete against the winner of the Griekspoor/Norrie match.
Notably, the world number one in women's tennis, Iga Swiatek, secured a hard-fought victory in the first round of the Olympics.
