Mbekezeli Mbokazi could have ex-Polish and Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski as his team-mate at Chicago Fire
Chicago Fire are interested in bringing the forward o their club
Decorated Polish striker Robert Lewadowski is on his way to join Mbekezeli Mbokazi's Chicago Fire.
Mbokazi's coach Gregg Berhalter has confirmed the club's interest in the former Bayern Munich and Barcelona marksman.
Reports suggest Lewadoskwi will join Chicago Fire for two years.
"The United States is prepared for him. He has had a brilliant career, and this could be the next challenge in his incredible journey,” said Berhalter of the club's interest in the Poland-born goalpoacher.
The MLS side has been home to South African duo in Mbokazi and Puso Dithejane who joined at the start of the year.
Mbokazi has been a hit already at the club having also made the MLS All Star team for the season.
