Mbappé scores in fifth consecutive match as Frenchman matches Yamal in remarkable stat

Real Madrid narrowly secured three points in their away clash against Sevilla. Despite Los Blancos playing almost the entire match with a man advantage, the deadlock was only broken in the 75th minute.

The main protagonist, as in so many recent fixtures, was striker Kylian Mbappé. The Frenchman netted the decisive goal—a stunning strike from outside the penalty area. Notably, this was his seventh goal of the season from that range. That tally puts him level with Barcelona star Lamine Yamal, with both now sharing top spot among players in Europe’s top five leagues for goals scored from outside the box.

It’s also worth noting that Kylian has now found the net in five consecutive matches. Overall, the Frenchman has raised his goal tally in his debut season in Madrid to 41. With 29 league goals, Mbappé currently leads the La Liga scoring charts.
