The Sevilla board and the Argentine specialist have shaken hands!

Details: According to official club sources on social media, today Sevilla unveiled their new head coach—Matías Almeyda.

Joaquín Caparrós will vacate the manager's seat for the 51-year-old Almeyda, who had been strongly linked with Sevilla for several weeks.

Almeyda rose to prominence after achieving a historic "golden double" with Greek side AEK, his first spell as a head coach.

It's reported that Sevilla’s bosses also considered former Real Sociedad coach Imanol Alguacil for the position, but the club's sporting director Antonio Cordón stepped in and made the decisive call, choosing Almeyda as the new head coach.
