Why such a high price? It all comes down to the autograph. The jersey is signed by Tel and comes in a beautiful frame. A less expensive version without the autograph is also available, but even that costs an impressive €399.
Additionally, these jerseys are sold in limited quantities. Only 25 autographed pieces are available, and just 50 without the autograph.
Interestingly, Tel's framed jersey is the only one with this exclusive offering in Bayern's shop, as no other player's jersey is presented in such a format.
This isn't entirely surprising, though—Mathys Tel is a fan favorite, especially among Bayern's younger supporters. The club is leveraging this popularity to create unique and costly collectibles.
It’s worth noting, however, that Tel's current season performance has not been stellar. He has played 11 matches across all competitions for Bayern but has yet to register a goal or assist.
