Marumo Gallants interim coach Matome Mthiyane on his squad: We have quality players who ae capable of ensuring we are safe from the drop zone
Matome Mthiyane believes the quality of players at Marumo Gallants does not allow them to be fighting relegation.
Mthinyane finds it hard to accept why they are in the relegation quagmire from the onset and added that his team will fight tooth and nail to remain in the elite division.
Gallants occupy the Relegation/Play-Off spot with 21 points as fellow PSL strugglers in Magesi FC have the same number of points but with a better goal difference which sees them third from safe.
Mthiyane is currently holding the fort at the Bloemfontein-based side as Moroccan coach Jamil Benouahi faces the chop.
“I do have confidence in my players. There’s quality in our team. Compared to other teams, I feel like there’s quality,” said Mathiane.
“There’s more quality in our team. We have players that are well-experienced. We have youngsters that are pushing.
“So, I’m quite happy with the team that we have. So, going forward, I know we’ll fight until the end. So I know we’ll get out of that position.”
