Martinique national team and French club Château player Jean-Manuel Nedra pleads guilty to transporting 102 kilograms of cocaine

Details: According to RMC Sport, Martinique national team midfielder and French club FC Château player Jean-Manuel Nedra has pleaded guilty in court to transporting 102 kilograms of cocaine through one of France's airports.

Nedra insists that he was aware there were drugs in the suitcase, but had no idea it contained 102 kilograms—he thought it was just a few grams. The player also denies any involvement in the drug trade and claims that strangers asked him to carry the suitcase and promised him €20,000 for it.

"I'm just a link in the chain, all I did was pick up the suitcase and transport it, nothing more," Nedra stated.

At the moment, investigators are continuing to examine all the details and evidence in the case, and a final verdict for the 33-year-old footballer is expected on March 20.
