Marseille are planning to part ways with one of their leaders
Marseille are considering letting go of one of their key players, who has been a central figure in the team’s defensive line.
Details: According to Santi Aouna, Argentine defender Leonardo Balerdi is set to leave the club in the summer of 2026. He will depart following the conclusion of the current season. Several clubs are already positioning themselves to secure his signature, and Marseille could receive up to €30 million for the centre-back.
This season, he has been one of the team’s main central defenders. Balerdi has made 31 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Meanwhile, Marseille’s new logo, officially unveiled this week, has sparked a strong negative reaction among the club’s supporters. During the Ligue 1 match against Metz at the Velodrome, fans openly and loudly expressed their frustration with the club’s management.
Reminder: If Tottenham secure their Premier League status, they intend to push for the signing of RB Leipzig midfielder Arthur Vermeeren, who is currently on loan at Marseille.
