Maresca says he has board support despite defeat to Legia

With some challenges, Chelsea has reached the semifinals of the Conference League, which has only intensified the discussions about Enzo Maresca's future at the helm of the "Blues." Yet, the coach himself is more confident than ever.

Details: The Chelsea head coach made it clear that despite the setbacks, he still enjoys the trust of the board. And setbacks, like the match against Legia, attended by Madonna, happen. But they make the team stronger.

Quote: "Yes, absolutely, yes. I tried to explain yesterday (Wednesday) - we cannot change the idea the next day. I said, and if needed, I will say it again... in the last two years Chelsea has not been in the top four, top five. This season we've spent the entire season, almost the entire season, in the top-4, top-5, Champions League places.

We reached the semifinals of a European tournament. So why should we change anything now? I think I have no doubts about what we are doing, how we are doing it, and for various reasons. We've had bad moments or failures, like today (against Legia), during the season, of course. But this, in my opinion, makes us stronger for the future," Maresca stated in an interview with The Athletic.
