Marc-André ter Stegen opens up about his divorce and alleged infidelity of his wife
Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen shared his emotions on the BILD Phrasenmäher podcast regarding his recent separation from his wife and rumors about her alleged infidelity.
Ter Stegen admitted that he and his former wife Danielle continue to communicate and maintain a connection as they co-parent their two children. He stated that Dani and the children live just 5 minutes apart, allowing him to see his sons daily, which makes him very happy.
The German also addressed the rumors that surfaced after his announcement of the separation, suggesting the split was due to Danielle's alleged affair with her personal trainer. These rumors were spread by a Catalan radio station, which later had to apologize for the defamation.
"What was reported there was completely unacceptable. I find it a tragedy that such accusations are simply made. It affected Dani the most, of course, and I felt incredibly sorry for her because she didn't deserve it. It's a total disrespect, and I consider it madness that these people weren't ashamed to cross such a line—especially since we have children," Ter Stegen stated.
