Manuel Akanji enjoyed several strong seasons at Manchester City, but he is now playing for Inter and hopes to extend his stay in Milan.

Details: The Swiss defender said he wants to remain with the Nerazzurri beyond his current deal. For now, he is not commenting on a contract extension and will wait to see how the season unfolds.

Quote: “I hope to join Inter permanently. We’ll see what happens this season and then decide together with the club. I don’t know — it depends on how the season goes, but right now I’m very happy here,” Akanji said.

Akanji joined Inter in the summer of 2025 and has made 13 appearances for the Milan side across all competitions this season.

Reminder: During the Champions League match between Inter and Kazakhstan’s Kairat, thieves broke into the home of Nerazzurri and Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni.
