Aurélien Tchouaméni appears to be firmly set on Madrid.
Details: According to Fabrizio Romano, the French midfielder is on the verge of signing a new contract with Real Madrid. All terms have been agreed upon, and the deal will run through June 2031.
Real Madrid is already preparing the paperwork, as the club never opened the exit door for Tchouaméni. Manchester United's interest never materialized into a real deal: the main obstacle was the player's high salary, and the Madrid side were unwilling to let go of one of their key midfielders.
This is a serious blow to Manchester United's plans, as the club was previously linked with efforts to strengthen their midfield specifically with Tchouaméni. Now the situation is crystal clear: the Frenchman is staying with Real, and all talk of a potential move to England is effectively over.
It's worth noting that Tchouaméni has been playing for Real Madrid since 2022, and Transfermarkt currently values the French midfielder at €70 million.
