Manchester United is eager to sign center-back Matthijs de Ligt, but Bayern Munich remains firm on the transfer fee.

According to Bild, the Bavarians are asking for 50 million euros for the Dutch defender, while the Red Devils are offering between 30 and 35 million euros. Despite this, negotiations between the clubs are ongoing. Bayern needs to complete the sale to continue their own player acquisitions. De Ligt has already agreed on personal terms with Manchester United.

Manchester United had already agreed on a contract with de Ligt until the summer of 2029. The Dutchman informed his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, that he was only willing to move to Manchester United and was not considering any other options.

Recently, it was reported that negotiations have been paused. The player understands that Manchester United is unlikely to meet Bayern's asking price of 50 million euros plus add-ons.
