Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood has accepted an offer from French club Marseille, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The clubs have agreed on a deal worth €30 million plus 50% of any future resale of the player. Formal steps are still needed before the deal can be officially concluded.
Earlier, it was reported that the potential transfer of Greenwood from Manchester United to Marseille was met with skepticism in the Provençal capital. Marseille's mayor, Benoît Payan, had expressed strong opposition to the transfer.
This is due to the controversial behavior of the 22-year-old forward, who was arrested in January 2022 on suspicion of domestic violence.
Greenwood spent the second half of last season on loan at Spanish club Getafe.
