Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe will not face disciplinary action from the English Football Association (FA) following his highly publicised comments. In a recent interview, the businessman sparked outrage and accusations of discrimination by stating that the United Kingdom had been colonised by immigrants. Despite the public backlash, football authorities have decided not to bring official charges against the billionaire.

Details: According to Ben Jacobs, the FA thoroughly reviewed the interview and concluded that, while Ratcliffe’s remarks were controversial, they do not warrant sanctions such as a suspension or a significant fine.

Nevertheless, the association formally reminded Ratcliffe of his responsibilities as an official of one of the world’s biggest clubs. Their statement emphasised that executives at this level must be particularly careful with their language, given the impact their words can have on football’s reputation.

At this stage, the incident is considered closed from a football regulatory perspective, and no further action will be taken.

Reminder: A former Manchester United and Liverpool youth player has been charged with attempted murder.
