Manchester United looking to sign Atalanta goalkeeper

It seems that the Manchester United management has finally decided to push André Onana into the background.

Details: According to Football Italia, Manchester United have set their sights on 24-year-old Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi.

The source claims that Carnesecchi is now the number one target for the Mancunians in this transfer window, as United’s coaching staff believe he should replace André Onana, whose performances last season were far from convincing.

At the moment, Atalanta are not planning to let their keeper go, but the Nerazzurri have made it clear that negotiations could begin if the minimum transfer offer is in the region of €50 million.

Marco is a product of Atalanta’s youth academy and was promoted to the first team in 2019. Carnesecchi has 76 appearances for Atalanta’s senior side, half of which came last season. The Italian shot-stopper is under contract with the club until 2028, and according to Transfermarkt, his market value is €25 million.
