Manchester United has rejected the transfer of the Premier League's top forward. For now
Manchester United has closed their striker needs with the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, but the Mancunians cannot turn down a highly-rated forward who can be signed for free.
According to Ben Jacobs, Manchester United are considering signing Brentford forward Ivan Toney, but not until the summer of 2025 when the 28-year-old's contract with the Hornets expires.
At Old Trafford, however, they are not making the signing of a forward a priority, preferring to strengthen the centre-back and midfield positions. They are considered to be Manchester United's main need.
One of them, Erik ten Hag, will be able to close one of them in the near future, as the signing of Bayern centre-back Matthijs de Ligt is on the finishing line. If that happens, Manchester United will focus on signing the midfielder.
