Manchester United decide which coach they do not want to appoint

Manchester United are currently being led by an interim manager, but the club have already decided how they intend to move forward and which type of coach they do not want to appoint.

Details: According to the Daily Mail, the club will not hire a manager who will be involved at the 2026 World Cup. That means coaches such as Julian Nagelsmann, Thomas Tuchel, Carlo Ancelotti, and Mauricio Pochettino are out of contention.

Manchester United currently sit third in the Premier League with 58 points from 33 matches. They hold a ten-point advantage over the team in sixth place.

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s hierarchy have reached a verbal agreement with 20-year-old central midfielder Kobbie Mainoo over a new long-term contract.

Reminder: Chelsea could struggle to keep one of their stars this summer, with the player being strongly linked with a move to Chelsea.
