Chelsea, watch out! Ryan Giggs picks the perfect player for Manchester United
Chelsea will have a tough time holding on to their star this coming summer.
Details: In an interview with the YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents, 52-year-old former Manchester United midfielder Ryan Giggs confidently stated that the Red Devils simply must sign Chelsea's number 10, Cole Palmer.
Giggs believes Palmer is the ideal candidate to strengthen United, as his style and approach to the game bring exactly what the current Manchester United side is missing:
"Palmer? Yes, he would fit, a Manchester lad.
Where would he play if Bruno was in the No. 10 role? Maybe he could play on the right. We talk about Højlund and Šeško, but really only Bruno is constantly creating.
But what if Bruno has an off day or gets injured?
You need three or four players in your team who can create chances, so those players can score goals." said Giggs.
Cole Palmer was born in Manchester in 2002, but he came through the Manchester City academy, which would make a move to United even more sensational.
Palmer himself has previously responded to questions about a possible switch to Manchester United, saying he doesn't miss home, but he also didn't rule out such a scenario in the future.
This season, Palmer has played 28 matches for Chelsea, scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists. His contract with the Blues runs until 2033, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €110 million.
