Manchester United boss awaits talks with the club. But there is another candidate
Manchester United edged Liverpool 3–2 in their latest Premier League clash, securing a guaranteed place in the UEFA Champions League for next season. Attention now turns to the managerial situation.
Details: According to Alex Crook, current manager Michael Carrick is awaiting formal talks with Manchester United. However, the club still intends to hold discussions with several candidates for the role. Qualification for the UEFA Champions League does not alter that plan.
Several experienced players, including Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha and Harry Maguire, want Carrick to remain in charge. He is also involved in meetings concerning the team’s future.
However, there is another candidate Manchester United would like to bring in — Thomas Tuchel. The club hopes to hold talks with him before he makes a decision regarding his future with the England national team.
Reminder: Manchester United are also considering strengthening their coaching staff and have shown concrete interest in Bayern Munich assistant coach Aaron Danks.
