Manchester United and Tottenham played to an entertaining draw

Manchester United and Tottenham battled to a draw in the central match of the 21st round of the English Premier League. The encounter took place at Old Trafford.

The beginning of the game lived up to the expectations of the neutral viewer: the Red Devils took the lead as early as the 3rd minute. Højlund, overcoming Rashford, struck a powerful shot into the top corner, beating Vicario.

The guests didn't lament for long and equalized a quarter of an hour later: Richarlison, with a header, finished off a corner delivery from Spurs. However, before the halftime whistle, the home team took the lead for the second time. Højlund and Rashford once again demonstrated excellent collaboration: this time the Norwegian provided the assist, and the Englishman put his name on the Old Trafford scoreboard.

The start of the second half turned out to be a cold shower for United. Tottenham leveled the score immediately after the ball was kicked off from the center of the field. Bentancur restored parity by piercing Onana with a shot into the near corner. Werner, who played his first match for Spurs after transferring from Leipzig, was credited with the assist.

Later on, both teams acted cautiously, unwilling to take risks and expose their defenses. In the end, the participants of the match settled for a predictable draw.

Tottenham with 40 points remained in fifth place in the Premier League. Manchester United is now seventh (32 points).
