Manchester City is reportedly planning to make a bid for Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. Daily Star Sunday reported that the Cityzens will wait until the summer in hopes of securing the German midfielder for around £25 million, aiming for a more cost-effective transfer.

Kimmich has been with Bayern since 2015, acquired from Stuttgart for €8.5 million. The midfielder has appeared in a total of 367 matches for the Munich-based club, scoring 41 goals. In the current season, he has played 20 matches, netting one goal and providing six assists.

His existing contract with Bayern lasts until the summer of 2025, but there have been ongoing discussions regarding its extension, as the club has indicated hesitance to increase the player's salary.

Manchester City currently holds the third position in the Premier League table. On December 7th, they secured a 5:0 victory against Huddersfield Town, advancing to the 1/16 finals of the FA Cup.
