Manchester City want to bring in Sporting's Hugo Viana as sporting director

Manchester City has identified its top candidate for the position of sporting director to replace Txiki Begiristain, who will depart the club at the end of the 2024/25 season.

Details: Sporting CP’s current sporting director, Hugo Viana, is Manchester City's priority candidate to take over from Begiristain, according to reports by Fabrizio Romano.

After his excellent work at Sporting, managing several top players, including Viktor Gyökeres, Ousmane Diomande, and Morten Hjulmand, Viana has risen to the top of City’s shortlist for the role.
