BREAKING! Man City wins case against the Premier League
Manchester City has been involved in several high-profile legal battles recently, and in one of these cases, the club’s legal team has successfully defeated the Premier League.
Details: According to Sky Sports, an independent commission has ruled that the Premier League's regulations on commercial deals involving clubs and their affiliated companies are unlawful. This specifically affects Manchester City’s partnership with Etihad, which the club argued was unfairly restricted by these rules, preventing it from securing two sponsorship deals. City argued that these regulations violated antitrust laws.
Reminder: Manchester City is also currently facing a separate case involving 115 alleged breaches of financial fair play regulations. Hearings for this case began on September 16, with a verdict expected by spring 2025.
