Manchester City has indeed completed the signing of a player in this summer transfer window. The 19-year-old West Ham talent is set to join the Citizens.

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, the Hammers will receive £1.2 million for Divin Mubama. The Englishman is expected to undergo medical tests soon and sign a long-term, strategic contract with Manchester City.

Notably, Liverpool also engaged in negotiations with the player, but City seized the initiative, viewing Mubama as a homegrown talent capable of developing along the right path. The young striker, of Congolese descent, is currently a free agent. He left West Ham, the club where he came through the ranks, in July.

It’s worth mentioning that the Citizens have re-entered the transfer market in search of reinforcements after midfielder Oscar Bobb sustained an injury, and Juan Alvarez moved to Atlético.

Manchester City could face significant problems in the next few months, which could arise amid an investigation into possible breaches of financial fair-play. This will affect the transfer policy of the reigning English champion.
