Manchester City dismantled Brighton by scoring three goals in the first half

Manchester City played Brighton away in a rescheduled match of the 29th round of the English Premier League.

The hosts failed to demonstrate any resistance against the illustrious visitors. The teams went into halftime with Manchester City leading by three goals. The scoring was opened by Kevin De Bruyne, who headed in a cross from Kyle Walker. Phil Foden then scored twice.

The second half turned into a formality. "City" played at their pleasure and added one more goal. The match was sealed by Julian Alvarez.

Manchester City now has 76 points and moved up to second place, overtaking Liverpool. Pep Guardiola's team is trailing Arsenal by just one point, with a game in hand. On April 28th, City will face Nottingham Forest in the 35th round of the Premier League.
