German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega, 31, moved to Manchester City in the summer of 2022, where he was immediately given the role of Ederson's understudy. But it seems the player has grown bored with that role.

According to reports from Florian Plettenberg, Ortega could leave the Citizens' camp in the summer as negotiations to extend the player's labour agreement hang in the balance.

The parties have not reached an agreement on salary issues, and the player himself is ready to become the main goalkeeper of Manchester City. However, another negotiation will take place soon and Pep Guardiola is a big fan of the player and values him highly.

It is added that Anderlecht and other clubs are interested in Ortega's services.

In the current season, the 31-year-old German has played nine matches for Manchester City, but only in two of them managed not to concede. In seven other meetings, opponents scored 11 goals for him.
