Manchester City’s midfield struggles, particularly after the loss of Rodri, are evident, and the "Citizens" are looking to address this issue.

Details: According to The Athletic, the reigning Premier League champions are considering signing Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz. However, there is a discrepancy in how both sides envision the deal.

Juventus prefers to part ways with Luiz permanently, either through a direct transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy. On the other hand, Manchester City is not interested in any long-term commitments and is looking to secure a simple loan deal without a purchase option.

Reminder: Luiz played for Aston Villa last season before moving to Juventus this past summer. However, under Thiago Motta, his role at the club has shifted.

It was also reported that Manchester City has shown interest in Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso, but Turin officials have stated that no official approach has been made for him.
