Nantes have announced the dismissal of their head coach just two days before their away match against Angers.
Details: According to L'Equipe, the Nantes management decided to part ways with head coach Luís Castro. The decision was made on Wednesday after the Portuguese specialist met with the club's general director, Franck Kita.
Castro leaves the team after just a few months in charge, and Nantes' management has already moved quickly to appoint a replacement. The new head coach will be Ahmed Kantari, who previously worked at the club as Antoine Kombouaré's assistant last season.
Kantari will lead Nantes for the next six months. Eric Blahic has been named as his assistant.
It should be noted that at the moment the "Canaries" are second from bottom, so the coaching change seems logical.
Reminder: Former Nantes and France international Leo Dubois retired at 31.
