Man United won't give up trying to get Barcelona midfielder

For a long time, the media has been abuzz with reports that Manchester United want to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong. But for a while, those reports subsided. As it turned out, it was the calm before the storm.

Now, Mundo Deportivo is fuelling this transfer speculation again, reporting that Manchester United have stepped up their interest in De Jong. The report claims that representatives of the English club have contacted the Blaugrana to inform them of their interest in the Dutchman.

Moreover, it is claimed that Manchester United will be ready to offer a sum of £30-40 million to get the former Ajax star in the current summer window.

As a reminder, they are also now considering the re-signing of midfielder Sofiane Amrabat at Old Trafford.
