Man United defender's move to a Premier League club falls through, jeopardizing another transfer
Despite claims that Manchester United are close to selling their defender, the transfer to another Premier League club will not happen on balance.
According to TEAMtalk, the deal to move Mancunians player Aaron Wan-Bissaka to West Ham collapsed because of the player's wage demands. The Hammers are unable to fulfil them.
It remains unknown what salary the 26-year-old defender demanded, but now his salary at Manchester United is £90,000 a week.
The difficulties in selling Wan-Bissaka jeopardise the purchase of Bayern defender Noussaïr Mazraoui, as the two moves have been linked.
If Manchester United are unable to find a buyer for the 26-year-old, then the signing of the player from the Munich club can be forgotten about.
It is thought that an alternative deal could be a swap with Inter Milan. Wan-Bissaka would go to Italy and Denzel Dumfries would go in the opposite direction, and he himself is interested in the deal.
