Man City's negotiations to extend player's contract hang in the balance

Despite the fact that Manchester City have three more years on their contract with winger Phil Foden, the Citizens are keen to extend their partnership but will have to hold off for now.

According to Football Insider, talks have been postponed until the end of the season as both sides are focused on a successful end to a campaign that has seen Pep Guardiola's side compete for the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League.

Foden reportedly wants a new contract that will reflect his importance at Manchester City, as well as an increased salary that will make him one of the highest paid players in the squad.

The 23-year-old winger has already made 41 appearances for the Citizens this season, in which he has netted 18 goals and ten assists. Transfermarkt values him at 110 million euros.
