Man City eager to sign Omar Marmoush immediately. Eintracht sets striker's price
Manchester City is exploring options to bolster their attacking line and is ready to make a move for a new forward. The "Citizens" have one player in mind.
Details: Pep Guardiola’s side is reportedly interested in Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush. According to Florian Plettenberg, City wants to finalize the transfer as quickly as possible. The German club has set a price tag of €80 million for the player. With no release clause in Marmoush’s contract, any offers below this amount will be outright rejected.
City, however, considers a transfer fee of €50-60 million to be more realistic. At this time, no formal negotiations between the clubs have taken place.
Previously, it was reported that other top clubs are also interested in Marmoush, but the player himself is particularly drawn to Manchester City's project.
Background: Reports earlier suggested that Marmoush has already agreed to join City, with negotiations between the clubs being the final hurdle.
In the current Bundesliga season, Marmoush has been outstanding, scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists in 15 matches, making him the league’s second-highest scorer.
